Free and Confidential HIV Testing

Testing means knowing your HIV status. This is a very important step for anyone wanting to stay healthy and to protect loved ones.

Testing is not time-consuming. The tests used by the St. Maarten AIDS Foundation give results within minutes.

Testing is not painful. All it takes is a small finger prick. Only a very small amount of blood is needed for the test.

Testing is done only for HIV. The tests cannot be used to determine whether you take drugs.

Testing is anonymous. Your identity will not be attached to the test result.  The ensuing counseling session is also confidential and your privacy will be guarded and protected at all times.

The St. Maarten AIDS Foundation carries out a minimum of five free and confidential HIV Testing Days throughout the year. Testing Days are usually held as part of a community event (e.g., the Lions Health Fair), or at partners’ locations (e.g., Scotiabank in Philipsburg). The same free, rapid and confidential tests are also available at the AIDS Foundation office in Cole Bay.

Know your status. Take the test and take control!
