It all seemed to be going well, then one day everything came crashing down: John had the AIDS virus. He wasn’t sick or anything, but he had to have an AIDS test to enter that Body-Building competition. The test said that he had the virus. It was hard for John to believe and even harder for Ingrid.

John had been with many other girls. He couldn’t help it he told her – he was just so popular. He didn’t even know from whom he got the virus. It could have been from any of the other girls. It didn’t matter now. What mattered was that John had the AIDS virus and at 17, Ingrid found out she had it too.
